ASNSW Winter School 2011 - Introduction to Astronomy (I2A) Course

The ASNSW is proud to present its first ever winter school.

After another successful I2A course in February 2011, this year hosted at TARA Anglican School for Girls at North Parramatta, Lesa has agreed to give a further series of lectures on topics requested by I2A participants in 2010 and 2011. There are no prerequisites for this course.

The winter school will also be held at TARA, for 4 consecutive weeks on Thursday nights commencing 2 June.

Our Presenter

Lesa Moore (BSc, MPhil) (aka Starry Lady), a life member of the ASNSW and a Macquarie University astronomy graduate is a specialist in public outreach. Previous students have said that Lesa’s style is straightforward and helpful.

Fees

$60. Included in your fees are: colour course notes, light supper and a certificate on completion of the course.

When and Where

Thursdays, 2 June to 23 June, 2011 (4 weeks, total) 7:30pm to 9:30pm at Tara Anglican School for Girls, Masons Drive, North Parramatta NSW 2151

Tara has a high quality lecture theatre with state of the art facilities and free car parking.

Places must be booked, paid and confirmed by 27th May 2011. Enrolment numbers are limited and your place is not guaranteed until confirmed.
