Earth Hour at Macquarie University Observatory March 24

Macquarie University Astronomical Observatory invites you to join us for Earth Hour 2018 on Saturday March 24th.

Earth Hour is the annual event where, during the hour of 8:30 to 9:30, people switch their lights out for global warming.

Once the lights go out, we will take advantage of the darker skies and look through our telescopes to marvel at the beauty of the cosmos.

In the run-up to switching the lights off, we will have have astronomy and dark-sky related presentations, a BBQ (gold coin donation), refreshments, and most importantly, an all-access pass to our observatory and assortment of telescopes (and wonderful astronomers!).

This is another FREE event (Yippee!). It will, however, have strictly limited places, so get your tickets quick!
