A flying saucer was tracked on the ship’s radar all the way from an area in the north of the Stuart Highway near the small town of Wycliffe Well, notorious for UFO sightings in recent years.
The UFO fastened itself by tractor beam to a US Navy Turboprop Aircraft and carried it right off the deck, whereupon both vanished for several hours after which in mysterious fashion the aircraft was returned. The purpose or purposes of this flight remains unknown.
When asked to comment, UFO expert Barry Von Munchäusen said today that clearly the aircraft and its crew were abducted to be studied by aliens who, for many years, have been searching in vain for signs of intelligent life on Earth. When asked why the aliens have never sought to make formal diplomatic contact with earthlings, Barry said that this proves their intellectual superiority over us.
He has been observing flights by the aliens from his observatory near Andamooka, in South Australia, and said that he saw many strange lights in the sky from that location on the evening of December 31, but that, using some means of thought control, they had managed to cloud his memory so that by morning the precise details were hazy and indistinct.
Barry considered that the sighting from Kulgera Roadhouse reported in Alternate Universe, April 2000 may well be connected.
