Aberrations inherent in the primary mirror are corrected by a modification of the costar corrector lens, as put into the Hubble Space Telescope to address a similar problem, being built into the focussing mount. Truss poles are thermally inert finely turned kiln-dried mahogany while the fully adjustable 81-point suspension cell is crafted in stainless steel and bakelite.
