ASNSW members enjoy:

  • Our monthly journal UNIVERSE, posted (costs extra) or emailed to you at the beginning of the month (no issue in January).
  • Around 20 meetings per year presented by professional and amateur Astronomers, and the opportunity to meet great new friends also interested in Astronomy. Meetings are held at the Epping Creative Centre or online using ZOOM.
  • Opportunities to visit Wiruna throughout the year to join in observing with our more-experienced members.
  • Member rates for weekend camping fees at Wiruna.  
  • Accredited members also have additional access to Wiruna observatory, and Society-owned astronomical equipment, including telescopes up to 25”.
  • Free member-only observing nights at Macquarie University Observatory
