f) Scouts Water Supply

The Scouts run a hose direct to their caravan from one of the poly pipes under the water tower near the main water tank. They usually fit this themselves. Try not to interfere, but check afterwards:

  • Ensure that this hose does not impinge on any of our critical water or gas lines and does not present a trip hazard.
  • Mark any unavoidable trip hazard with traffic cones, chairs or matting.
  • Inspect for leaks and fix or report as appropriate.

g) Temperature Regulation of the Amenities’ Hot Water

Hot water is supplied to each of the amenities blocks through instant water heaters. The temperature on each heater is set to be hot, but not hot enough to scald. Each hot water system needs to be tested and set to provide hot water at 37-38 degrees C. The temperature must be less than 45 degrees C to prevent scalding.

There is a detailed document describing how to check and adjust the water temperature HERE.

h) Toilet and Shower Cleaning

Participants on regular weekends and at the Star Party are expected to leave the facilities as they found them - or cleaner and neater. If any cleaning is required, gloves, sponges, wipes, detergents and cleaning products (that are safe for our septic system) should be available in the Store Room Alcove. Similarly, supplies of toilet paper and paper towels are also in the Store Room Alcove.
