Bin Placement for Star Party
For the Star Party, 44-gallon drums are used as bins. These need to be lined with large clear plastic bags and placed in strategic locations - lower camping area, Bon Glen (at the fork), on the Observatory Rd/Bon Glen Way intersection, outside the Main Shed and at the doorway to the Pavilion.
The brown plastic garbage bin (wide top) should also be lined with a bag that suits the wide top and be placed near the tea & coffee station.
Bins around the Camping and Caravan Areas
Check all the 44-gallon drum bins frequently.
Remove any full bags and take them to the humpy.
Replace with large clear bags from the Store Room, right-hand-side of the Bunkhouse alcove.
Bins in the Toilets and at the Tea/Coffee Station
When bins are full, tie them closed and remove them to the humpy.
Replace with corresponding sized garbage bags from the Store Room.
Rubbish to the Tip on Sunday
Attach the trailer, load it with the rubbish, take it to the tip and return the trailer to Wiruna.
Certain members have access to Ilford Tip, which requires an app and ASNSW login to unlock the gate (contact the Treasurer for more information).
The Kandos Tip is public access.
